Whether the vehicle shipping leg comes bundled by the seller or booked by you, the same three checks apply: carrier name with active MC/USDOT authority (verify on the FMCSA site), cargo insurance certificate naming the carrier, and a written pickup window. Brokers are legitimate — most of the industry runs through them — but you want the actual carrier identified before the truck rolls.
