Claims succeed on paper assembled at two moments. At origin: the carrier's inspection report (or your dated photos from the listing) establishing pre-load condition. At delivery: your walk-around, with every new defect written on the bill of lading before signature and photographed with the truck in frame. File with the carrier's insurer, not the broker, and copy the seller if transport was bundled. Claims noted on the BOL settle; claims phoned in the next morning become negotiations.
